Michael A. Tambosso

Michael Tambosso retired as a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2014. He was the firm’s Independence Leader and Chief Auditor, responsible for assurance quality, methodology, and risk management. He was also a member of the firm’s Partnership Board. He was a member of Auding and Assurance Standards Oversight Council in 2019. Over the years, he has served on several professional committees, including the Accounting Standards Board and the Independence Task Force as Chair. He is the Vice-Chair of the Parish Finance Council for St. John Chrysostom Parish in Newmarket, and the past Chair of the Audit Committee for the Town of Newmarket.

Michael holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of Toronto. He was recognized as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 2003 for his contributions to the community and the profession. He is an avid curler, has coached competitive youth curlers, and was a member of the Board of Directors and past President of the Richmond Hill Curling Club. He was also a member and chair of the Richmond Hill Public Library Board.
