For over 20 years, Jocelyn Patenaude was the partner responsible for the professional practice of BCGO S.E.N.C.R.L., a Montreal-based accounting firm. Today he is a senior consultant for that firm and regularly provides advice on complex and technical issues in accounting and audit.
Jocelyn has been involved in standard setting since 2008. He has been a member of the Accounting Standards Board (2008-2015), the Board’s Private Enterprises Advisory Committee (2015-2018), and the Accounting Standards Oversight Council (2018-2024).
Before his work in standard setting, Jocelyn was elected to be on the Board of Directors of Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (2007-2009) and served on several of the association’s working groups. He has also been a member of a CPA Canada task force.
In 2016 Jocelyn was recognized as a Fellow for his contribution to the accounting profession.
