Beili Wong is the Comptroller General of Ontario, responsible for building strong financial management and accountability measures, implementing an enterprise risk management framework, and overseeing the internal audit function for the Province of Ontario.

A strategic and senior executive with over 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Beili joined the Ontario Public Service in 2019 as the Province’s Chief Internal Auditor and was responsible for modernizing the internal audit function that supports the delivery of excellence to Ontarians.

Before joining Ontario Public Service, Beili held positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Audit Executive at the Liquor Control Board of Ontario, and had progressive roles with Hudson’s Bay Company and Shoppers Drug Mart. Her global work experience includes consulting and audit projects in four continents and 18 countries, with experience in retail, wholesale, logistics, manufacturing operations, and government.

Beili is passionate about giving back to her profession. She serves on the Canadian Auditing and Assurance Standards Oversight Council and was also previously Senior Vice Chairman of the North American Board at the Institute of Internal Auditors.

In 2019 Beili received her CPA Fellowship from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario), recognizing her achievements and leadership at work and community engagements. Beili is a proud recipient of the Top 25 Canadian Immigrants of 2023 Award, and a champion for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
