PSAB’s Cloud Computing Task Force will provide expert advice to facilitate the development of accounting guidance for cloud computing arrangements in the public sector.
We are seeking members with a range of backgrounds, including those with experience working for governments, government organizations, and accounting firms, as well as those who are legislative auditors with experience in cloud computing arrangements (CCAs).
Responsibilities of the Task Force
- Identifying and resolving potential issues specific to accounting for CCAs (including those that may be unique to the public sector).
- Reviewing and providing recommendations:
- on proposals for the development of accounting guidance for CCAs;
- on what constitutes useful financial statement information when reporting on accounting for CCAs; and
- on issues expressed in feedback from PSAB and interested and affected parties.

Other considerations
- Members are expected to:
- be familiar with CCAs and the challenges that the application of accounting guidance may create for public sector entities; and
- provide input on the implications of proposed solutions.
- The Task Force will meet in private.
- Meetings may include a mix of in-person and virtual meetings.
- Travel costs of members, along with other costs specific to attending the meetings, will be reimbursed in accordance with our travel policies for volunteers.
