Daniel Charron has been the Vice President of Social Engagement and Public Affairs at Fondaction since March 2020 and brings a substantial wealth of experience to his role, spanning the domains of public relations, finance, and the manufacturing industry. In the earlier phase of his career, he assumed the position of President and CEO of the Quebec Manufacturers and Exporters association, a role he held until 2006. In that same year, he embarked on a transformative journey with Octane Strategies, a prominent public affairs firm in Quebec celebrated for its innovative practices in areas such as social acceptability, transportation, and urban mobility. Over the course of 12 years, he played a pivotal role in shaping the firm's reputation, serving as its President and Managing Partner.

In 2018, Daniel orchestrated the successful sale and transition of the company to NATIONAL, where he continued as Senior Vice-President and Director of the Corporate and Financial Communications group for approximately one year. Following this, he assumed the distinguished position of President and CEO of Reseau Capital, the venture capital and private equity association that brings together all stakeholders involved in the Quebec investment chain, where he implemented significant transformative changes that greatly enhanced the organization's interactions with its stakeholders.

Daniel's educational journey is marked by academic excellence, including a PhD in International Political Economy from the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po Paris), a Master of Science from Université de Montréal, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal. Beyond his professional pursuits, he has demonstrated his leadership acumen as Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Canadian Club of Montreal for an extended period. He is currently an active member of the Boards of the Montreal Climate Partnership, of Reseau Capital, of SWITCH (the Alliance for a Green Economy) and The Artists’ Foundation.
