Gary J. Hum is a senior finance leader with over 20 years of experience, principally in multinational public reporting environments with particular expertise in applying IFRS® Accounting Standards to complex transactions across a variety of industries. He has been with Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited since 2008 and is currently its Vice President, Financial Reporting.
Gary was previously a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Toronto and worked in both the national office and in accounting advisory. He has a keen interest in accounting education and has held a variety of teaching roles, including as a lecturer at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, and as an instructor for CPA training programs. He has also volunteered extensively with Junior Achievement.
