Kenneth (Ken) Leung is a Managing Director at the Accounting Policy Division of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institution (OSFI).

Ken is responsible for a team of Chartered Professional Accountants that monitors developments in accounting and auditing standards and evaluates the impacts to Canadian Federally Regulated Financial Institutions. He was also a Director at OSFI’s Horizon Risk Surveillance and Risk Surveillance & Sector Oversight divisions where he led teams researching current and emerging risks affecting the Canadian financial system.

Ken represents OSFI on the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s (BCBS) Accounting & Audit Expert Group and served as OSFI’s representative at BCBS technical working groups on audit and regulatory capital disclosure.

Prior to joining OSFI in 2008, Ken held various roles at CIBC in Internal Audit, Treasury Finance, Card Products, Corporate Development, and Commercial Banking. He began his career at Deloitte & Touche LLP in Assurance & Advisory Services.

Ken is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA, Ontario), Certified Public Accountant (Illinois, U.S.A.) and holds an Honours Bachelor of Administrative Studies degree from York University.
