PSAB’s Draft 2022 – 2027 Strategic Plan

Summary

The Strategic Plan sets out the broad strategic objectives that help guide PSAB in achieving its public interest mandate over a multi-year period. The Board decides on its strategic objectives after extensive stakeholder consultation. 

PSAB’s current Strategic Plan is effective until March 31, 2022. The Board is undertaking this project to develop its next Strategic Plan.

PSAB Decision Summary – March 30-31, 2022

After extensive stakeholder consultation, PSAB reviewed and approved its 2022-2027 Strategic Plan. The Board also reviewed and approved its Strategic Plan Feedback Statement, which provides an overview of key feedback from respondents and how PSAB responded in the final document.

The 2022-2027 Strategic Plan and the Feedback Statement will be released in April 2022.

PSAB Decision Summary – January 17-18, 2021

PSAB reviewed and discussed the following with respect to its Draft 2022-2027 Strategic Plan:

  • Outreach activities conducted to obtain stakeholder feedback;
  • Stakeholder feedback received; and
  • Updates to this document in response to the feedback received.

The Board expects to approve a final Strategic Plan in March 2022, with input from the Accounting Standards Oversight Council, for release in April 2022.

2022+ Strategic Plan

PSAB reviewed and approved its Draft 2022-2027 Strategic Plan for public consultation. This document will be released in the spring of 2021, with a 150-day comment period. Extensive communication and outreach activities will be conducted to obtain stakeholder input on the document.
