As Partner and Leader of KPMG’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team in the greater Toronto area, Katie has helped to build a national client service practice embedded across audit, tax, and advisory groups since joining the firm in 2007. 

Her work has included design and implementation of ESG strategy, policy, and governance. She works across sectors and has led several groundbreaking, multi-year projects focused on emerging sustainability risks and opportunities. Her experience includes ESG due diligence, human rights advisory for financial institutions, climate-related risk, and opportunity assessment and integration in investment and asset management processes.

Before joining KPMG, Katie managed international sustainable development projects and microfinance initiatives across Africa and Latin America.

She completed her bachelor of commerce at Dalhousie University, holds an International Master of Sustainable Development designation from the EOI Escuela de Organización Industrial in Madrid, Spain, and has completed the Competent Boards Sustainability & ESG, and Climate designations. In 2023 Katie was awarded a Clean50 award for her work as a sustainability advisor in Canada.
